Summer wind spirits shimmer with the silvery blue of water and sky. Wings summons these tiny messengers into being in life-sized form by way of these delicate dragonfly earrings. Each dragonfly’s body is formed of sterling silver pattern wire in a vaguely Art-Nouveau floral pattern reminiscent of Mucha’s work, each rolled flat, hand-cut at the end, and gently curved to impart a sense of motion. The wings are wrought of hand-milled sterling silver in a raised pattern of lines and drops, echoing dragonfly’s web-like wings and the delicate patter of the rain. At the top, each small spirit’s head is formed of a single round cabochon of beautifully translucent aquamarine, the color of the waters beneath the summer light. Each hovers from sterling silver wires by way of a single silver jump ring. Earrings hang 2.5″ long by 1.75″ across at the widest point; cabochons are 3/16″ across (dimensions approximate).
