We belong to the Earth, born of its womb, the land a part of our blood and bones and DNA. Wings creates a pair of cascading strands to honor that relationship with these earrings, wrought in shades of earth and fire and that which holds our very selves together, brought from a land that holds the oldest of ancestral memory. Each long, dangling drop is strung on sterling silver wire and hangs from sterling silver earring wires, anchored at top and bottom by twinned orbs of fiery dolomite, beads in the blood-red colors of flame. Moving inward, each pair is succeeded by a pair of small round picture jasper spheres, tiny sandscaped planets marbled in the earth tones of sand and clay, rock and ore. At the center of each earrings rests a single hand-carved African bone bead, roughly barrel-shaped and polished smooth as fine ivory.
