These vintage-style earrings fashioned of traditional conchas (Spanish for “shells”) are made the old way: shaped from beneath to create the domed repoussé centers, scalloped and stamped at the edges. A small round cabochon of Arizona turquoise sits at the center of each sunburst pattern. The conchas bear a deeply aged patina. From Wings’s personal collection; artist unknown, but believed to be Rodney Concha (Taos Pueblo).
