Two hand-cut and -polished teardrops of beautifully striated Pilar slate form these classic earrings. The stone is one found locally, lightweight and touchable as soapstone, with lace-like traceries of matrix. These were hand-crafted by an up-and-coming young Taos Pueblo carver, Jeremy Gomez, who comes from a line of expert carvers.
