The new moons of summer birth a season of warmth and light. With these earrings, Wings brings together the moon’s faces, dark and light, distant and exceedingly close. Each strand of gemstone beads is strung on sterling silver wire, suspended from silver earring wires by tiny jump rings. At the center of each sits the full moon in all her glory, a large round orb of highly polished white mother-of-pearl shell, as luminous as her real-life counterpart. She is flanked, top and bottom, by the truly new versions of herself, soft dark spheres of matte black onyx. Extending to either end are pairs of smaller round beads of white mother-of-pearl shell, charting her journey to the outer reaches of our sky.
