Love and wisdom will save the whole world. With this cuff, Wings honors those two qualities that the whole planet so desperately needs now. The band is formed of heavy 16-gauge sterling silver, solid and substantial without feeling heavy on the wrist. The two borders are scored freehand, lines chased deeply from end to end using a single short chisel-end stamp. Between each line and the edge, an Art Deco border is formed of two repeating stamps: a textured open-petal motif paired with a smaller radiant lodge symbol to occupy the space between the petals, their shared negative space forming a lightning-bolt pattern down the full length of each side. Between the scored lines, Wings has placed old traditional symbols of love in the form of paired hearts at center, wisdom as diamond-shaped Eyes of Spirit, one each arrayed on the h0rizontal and on the vertical, evenly space down the sides of the band. All six motifs are formed using repoussé techniques (from the reverse), so that they rise in sharp relief from the surface of the band. All six of them are also surrounded by silver that has been textured freehand, hundreds of strikes of the jeweler’s hammer against a single divot-end stamp, to form a rich finish reminiscent of old cast work. The whole is oxidized and buffed to an aged finish that gleams in the light. Band is 6″ long by 1″ wide (dimensions approximate). Other views shown below.
