Light through red willows is part of this land’s indigenous magic, mystery, and medicine. With this cuff, Wings summons the spirit for which place and people are named, and channels the atmospheric glow for which this place is famed. The band is saw-cut freehand of sterling silver of a solid and substantial gauge, the center stamped freehand in a radiant mirror-image motif: four flared rays of light per side, reminiscent of a butterfly’s wings, each pair ending in a radiant arc linked to the next by a tiny sacred hoop; at center, two elongated textured points flanking, above and below, a single five-pointed star. Large sunburst motifs appear singly on either side, framed by a border of linked crescents at either edge. On either end, a small stand of red willows dances in the light, each limb and leaf incised freehand above a sage-studded earth. The inner band is lightly etched from end to end and edge to edge, giving it a subtle but rich texture and warm velvety glow. Cuff is 6″ long by 13/16″ wide (dimensions approximate).
