This land is a world born of lava and smoke. Wings pays tribute to the basaltic landscape, the glassy obsidian, and the fiery sun that makes it all possible with this bold choker-length necklace strung entirely on sterling silver beads chain. At the center sit found large barrel beads of basaltic lava rock, flanked and separated by five fiery rondels of blood-red carnelian. At either end of the segment sits a trio of copper and hematite rondels, leading upward into two shimmering lengths of round gold-sheen obsidian beads, divided at the halfway point and then ending in more trios of copper and hematite. Copper rondels separate and end three lengths of hematite, the whole anchored by sterling silver findings. Bead strand hangs 15″ in length, excluding findings; about 16″ with findings, with focal segment resting at the hollow of the throat (dimensions approximate). Designed jointly by Wings and Aji. Part of The Beaded Hoop Collection. Coordinates with Ash and Fire earrings. Long view shown below.
