A strong feminine spirit is like the rain — medicine, in flower and in flight. Wings invokes the powers off flower and flight, and the gifts of the storm as well, in this newest entry in his signature Warrior Woman series, created in memory of his mother and to honor the courage, strength, and power of women. Large, lush flowers blossom and grow down the front of her traditional dress, smaller petals and leaves stretching the length of the serpent over her right shoulder, all symbols of prosperity and abundance. In her left hand, stylized Water Birds soar around a crescent moon; in her right she holds a cobalt blue cabochon of lapis lazuli, the color of the storm. An eagle sits over her heart, head turned to one side to evoke the look and feel of Thunderbird, midwife to the rain. The pin stands 2.75″ high by 2 inches across at the widest point; the cabochon is 3/16″ across (dimensions approximate).
