With this newest entry in his longstanding signature series of Warrior Woman pins, Wings honors the sources of wisdom and guidance and the gifts they bestow upon our world and upon us. The entire pin is saw-cut freehand, with minimal stampwork to evoke her face and traditional bun. Her heart is covered by the pattern of her traditional dress, accented down the front with five stylized diamond shapes forming Eyes of Spirit, ancient symbols of wisdom, guidance, and illumination. She holds a crescent moon in her left hand, traced with elegant images of medicine in full flower; in her right, a small round garnet cabochon glowing a deep and fiery red, like the light of the rising and setting sun. Over her right shoulder coils a serpent formed of hammered braid wire, a spiraling signifier of prosperity and abundance. Pin stands 2-3/4″ high by 2-7/8″ across at the widest point; cabochon is 3/16″ across (dimensions approximate).
