These high-altitude lands come alive at this time of year, the bright amber flame of desert poppy blanketing meadows and slopes. With these small concha-style floral earrings, Wings pays tribute to the sunny open beauty of these indigenous blooms. Each small dangling drop is saw-cut individually and each petal scored freehand, then domed lightly from the reverse to create the concha-like shape that allows them to hang to best effect. At the center of each, a tiny round highly-domed cabochon of glowing golden amber, each a tiny molten sun in full flower, rests in a saw-toothed bezel. Sterling silver coil-and-ball-bead French wires are threaded through sterling silver jump rings soldered securely to the top-center reverse. Earrings hang 7/8″ long (excluding wires) by 3/4″ across; amber cabochons are 3/16″ across (all dimensions approximate).
