Two stunning high-grade boulder turquoise cabochons capture the strong, stark beauty of Taos Pueblo’s canyon country, deep boxed valleys of sandstone and slate bisected by the waters that feed the land itself. Like their real-life counterparts, these rivers reflect the color of the sky itself; during the summer rains, they run high and hard and fast, cascading over falls that punctuate the rapids along their downward flow. Together, the stones create a larger map, one marked by seams and cliffs in warm brown earth tones, accented by turquoise tributaries coming together in a dynamic ebb and flow. Three sterling silver ingot beads, each stamped in a flowering cactus blossom, bloom at canyon’s edge; on the reverse, matched thunderhead symbols mark off a sacred space above a dancing heart.
