Sometimes, stone and silver work together in perfect synchronicity. So it is with the elements that together constitute this classic hook bracelet: shade and symbol, substance and style all in one perfect whole that is far greater than the sum of its parts. At the center of the hand-made bezel lies a very, very old natural cabochon of Nevada turquoise the color of the pale dawn sky, a perfect round medallion of robin’s-egg blue imbued with just a hint of seafoam green and traced with delicate matrix lines of inky purple that part to expose the white chert beneath. The hand-formed, hand-stamped band bears chased Eyes of Spirit along the center, ascendant between rising sun and setting moon at either edge. Hook and hinge are likewise made by hand in the old way, with stamped hearts and broken arrows scattered along the inner band like Spirit-tossed stars. Band and bezel bear a delicately aged Florentine finish that underscores the gray-white chert of the stone’s matrix. Other views shown below.
