Warm winds move through nights of aspen leaf and moonlight, the former glowing green in the latter’s icy gleam. With these earrings, Wings summons the electric shade of the leaves beneath the cool light of Grandmother Moon in her fullest phase, adorned with the light of the stars and the silvery swing of repoussé hearts. The green foxfire glow emanates from a pair of square lime jade cabochons that catch and channel the light, set into plain bezels beneath a tiny round cabochon of shimmering rainbow moonstone. Moon and leaves are linked by a pair of overlays, sterling silver ingot starburst beads made entirely by hand. Ingot beads and stones alike all rest on a single backing, saw-cut freehand and scalloped to accommodate the steep arcs of ingot and moonstone. Organic hand-drilled tabs extend from the top to hold sterling silver French earring wires, and from the base to catch a jump ring, which in turn holds the hand-made pendants: a pair of sterling silver hearts, stamped from the reverse and saw-cut by hand. Earrings hang 1-3/8″ long, excluding wires; lime jade cabochons are 5/16″ across; rainbow moonstone cabochons are 3/16″ across; ingot starbursts are each 1/8″ across; heart pendants are 3/8″ long by 3/8″ across at the widest point (all dimensions approximate).
