Summer is the phoenix of the year, born in ash and fire to renew the world once more. Wings summons a wholly Indigenous Firebird from the heat of the flames with these earrings, beads stacked, glossy, molten, and matte, and strung on sterling silver wire. At the center of each drop is a large rounded barrel bead of textured lava rock, a bit of the basalt the underlies this land. Each lava-rock bead is flanked first by a single copper rondel on either side, followed by a smaller hematite rondel, thence by paired doughnut-style rondels of fiery blood-red carnelian, each separated by more hematite. A final tiny hematite disc anchors each drop at the bottom and at the top, just below sterling silver earring wires. Earrings hang 2″ long excluding wires (dimensions approximate).
