As the arrow flies, so does our path follow, making the accuracy of our aim all the more important. With this extraordinary sterling silver cuff, Wings evokes simultaneously the substance and trajectory of an arrow well-aimed and the beauty and power of Eagle’s feathers. The cuff os formed of a narrow strand of sterling silver of a solid and substantial gauge, deeply scored, freehand, down the center from end to end. The “feathers” on each side are all saw-cut and filed individually — some seventy or so individual feathers, half per side, each one coaxed from the silver one at a time and entirely freehand. Along the inner band, flowing-water motifs formed by Wings’s own hand-made stamp create motion and flow; tiny five-pointed stars link them, reminding us always to aim for them, and for the realms where the spirits dwell. The band is hand-formed and -shaped, all edges filed silky smooth, and rests gently on the wrist. Cuff is 6″ long by 5/16″ wide [dimensions approximate].
