The cosmos moves in a circle of starlight, an orbital dance that keeps our world in its proper place. With these small, elegant hoops, Wings evokes the stars, the circle, and the dance, all in a pair of graceful arcs. Each slender strand is formed of sterling silver triangle wire of a lightweight but substantial gauge, each formed gently into am open hoop. Along either outer angle, classic five-pointed stars are chased freehand, each embossed so deeply that the apex shows the silver’s displacement. The stampwork is oxidized and buffed to a warmly aged Florentine finish, and butterfly back hold the posts securely in place. The full size of the triangle wire that forms the hoop is 2″ long by 3/16″ wide; from posts, the hoops hang roughly 1″ long (dimensions approximate). Other views shown below.
